The Rancho RS5000X RS55268 Suspension Shock Absorber is engineered to enhance the handling and performance of your vehicle, both on and off the road. It features Rancho’s exclusive Progressive Engagement Valving, which ensures a smooth ride by reducing initial impact harshness at lower speeds and providing increased control during more significant suspension movements. The shock’s 2.25-inch twin-tube body increases fluid capacity, allowing for cooler operation and improved vehicle control across various terrains. A 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod offers enhanced durability and corrosion resistance, while the gas pressurization at 150 PSI minimizes air-to-oil mixture, reducing damping fade and foaming. Additionally, the shock includes a polyvinyl protective boot to safeguard the shock rod and oil seal, ensuring longevity. Designed as a direct replacement, the RS55268 is compatible with specific Chevrolet and GMC models, including the Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 from 1999 to 2006, among others.
